So far, I have been staying in the San Carlos Suite for around 4 days. At first when you see it, you'd be shocked. The door is pretty tall but the building and inside look deserted. Ends up you have to check in at another hotel 5 minutes away. Anyways, the hotel isn't until the 2nd floor. When you climb up the stairs or take an elevator, the hotel is on the right hand side. It is equipped with a card scan and a passcode area for safety measures. Inside the hotel is pretty small. About the average size of an apartment. Its really cozy though. You have a virtual screen to see the Receptionist at the other hotel whenever you need to.

Inside the little hotel, there are 3 rooms to stay in plus a kitchen and a little dining area. The 3 rooms are Margutta, Condotti, and Corso. Condotti is supposedly the largest of them all, but personally, I think Corso is the largest and Margutta is the smallest. Oh well.
The rooms all have a view of the Spanish Steps area. The area is bustling at night, and weirdly, the cleaning truck comes around at midnight and it makes a bit of noise. Plus, there are many young people coming back from parties or heading to nearby parties and sometimes they forget that there are people sleeping in the building and they... make a bit of noise. During the daytime and a bit in the evening and night, there are street performers and artists eager to earn money. Usually, there are no beggars but there are some people selling things by the streets and some people selling food on the street. Plus, there are a lot of people and designer stores by the area. Downstairs, to the left is a lingerie store and across and a little bit to the right is a "iShop" which is basically and apple store. I don't know if it is a retailed seller though. Anyways, inside the room, there are hotels faced towards the streets and the usual hotel stuff.
The trademark for this hotel seems to be its decorative fireplaces. It is electronic and it does not give off heat, but it psychologically makes you think it is hotter in the room. :) With the TV, there are many channels but the set back is the language. All the channels are Italian channels, barely with any english. No CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Fox, etc. Just none. There is internet connection in the hotel though, and it is pretty fast. The receptionist will give you a password to log in and such. The hotel doesn't provide slippers though. Plus, the San Carlos Suite is part of Jeune Boutique Hotels which is part of Giglid'oro suite. Then in the morning for breakfast, it is at pretty early times, from 7:45 am to 9:45 am. The breakfast is a mini buffet and the food is up to standard. To the left, there is a little kitchen where one staff from the The Giglid'oro suite comes to make food. After 9:45am the person then stops and starts cleaning the room. After breakfast, there is also some food out on the little buffet bar and there is water and Prosecco wine and best of all, Its completely free of charge!
Overall this hotel is wonderful but the language barrier can still kick in. After all, this is a 5 star hotel!
From, Tanya
